For insurers and brokers

Online insurance quote and buy

We connect the websites of brokers, insurance agencies and partners to the insurer’s API, so customers can get a quote and take out a policy. We test the integration with the insurer and go live once we have its sign-off.

From quote to issued policy

For a broker, we’ve connected their pet insurance website to two quote-and-buy APIs, each with its own WordPress plugin.

Quotes built on the insurer’s rules

The quote tool asks the questions the API requires and sets out the cover levels in a table showing benefits, cover and price. Customers choose from the options the insurer provides, with no answers pre-selected, and if they change anything, the previous price is no longer valid.

Purchase and policy issuance

The customer fills in the policyholder’s details, reviews a summary and takes out the policy. Where the API allows it, the policy is issued with the premium collected by direct debit, so no payment gateway is needed.

Details checked, errors explained

Before anything is sent, the format of the ID number, IBAN and mobile number is checked, and if something’s wrong, the customer sees what to correct without losing what they’ve typed. Errors returned by the insurer are shown to them in plain language.

Private testing on the real website

With a private link, the insurer tests taking out a policy on the real website, connected to its test environment. In the meantime, nobody can buy without that link.

One insurer or several, on your website

Each insurer has its own quote tool, and several can sit side by side on the same website, matched to your design and built for mobile. The text can be translated, and one of the two we’ve built already has a complete British English version.

Are you an insurer or a broker?

Insurers with a partner API

If you have partners with WordPress websites who want to sell through your API but have no technical team, recommend us as their integrator. We build the integration on their website, and it only goes live once you’ve signed it off.

  • The integration is commissioned and paid for by the partner who’ll be selling.
  • Your team reviews the results: the test cases you ask us for, run through the API, and the full API trace of a purchase.
  • You can test taking out a policy on the partner’s real website, privately and connected to your test environment.

Brokers, agencies and other intermediaries

On your website, your customers get a quote and take out a policy with the insurers you work with. We build the integration and run the tests with each insurer.

  • Requirements: the insurer must have a quote-and-buy API and give you access to it, and your website must be built on WordPress.
  • Optional monthly maintenance, in case the insurer changes its API.

Insurance API integration, step by step

Each integration is built on the client’s website, using their insurer’s API and their own design.

1. Written proposal

Tell us which insurers and products you want to sell. We look at their APIs and, if it can be done, send you a proposal with the scope, timescale and price; we start once you approve it.

2. Building in the test environment

Using the insurer’s test credentials, we set up the quote tool and purchase journey on the website. In the meantime, only people with the private link can buy.

3. Test cases and API trace

We run the test cases the insurer asks for through the API and hand over the full trace of a purchase.

4. Private tests on the real website

The insurer tests taking out a policy on the real website, using the private link.

5. Sign-off and go-live

With the insurer’s sign-off and production credentials, we open sales to the public.

6. Maintenance, if you want it

It’s billed monthly, and what it includes is set out in writing: for example, adapting the integration if the insurer changes its API.

The integration has a fixed price. Hosting, updates, backups and website monitoring, if we look after those as well, are invoiced separately each month.

Our API integrations

The first two are for the same broker, on their pet insurance website, each with its own quote tool. The third is from another sector: estate agency websites connected to their CRM.

Pet insurance, through to the issued policy

We connected the whole quote-and-buy process to an insurer’s API, from pricing each cover level to issuing a policy paid for by direct debit, and policies have already been issued in the insurer’s test environment. The integration includes a step-by-step questionnaire, a comparison table like the one on the insurer’s own quote tool, a British English version and more than 200 automated checks of the business rules.

Status as of 1 October 2026: in final testing with the insurer’s business team; not yet open to the public.

Pet insurance via a partner API

The quote tool and purchase journey were working in the test environment the same afternoon the credentials arrived, partly because we were building on what we’d done for the insurer in the previous case. We ran every case in the company’s test template through the API and each one gave the expected result. We also handed over the full trace of a purchase, right through to the PDF contract.

Status as of 1 October 2026: the company’s implementation manager has approved the tests; not yet open to the public.

Estate agency websites connected to their CRM

We’ve built WordPress plugins that connect estate agency websites to ReSales Online, Milenio+ and Inmobalia: property search, property pages and forms that send enquiries to the CRM as contacts. The ReSales Online plugin has its own website and is available in 12 languages.

Status as of 1 October 2026: used by estate agencies on the Costa del Sol.

Questions before you start

It works with insurers that have a quote-and-buy API and give you access to it. Before giving you a price, we check this against their API documentation. So far, we’ve integrated two pet insurance APIs.
Give us test credentials, answer questions about the API as they come up and review what we hand over: your test cases, run through the API, and the trace of a purchase. You can test taking out a policy privately on the partner’s real website, and sales don’t open to the public until you’ve given your sign-off and the production credentials.
It depends on the insurers and products. Before we start, we give you the scope, timescale and a fixed price in writing, and the integration is paid for by whoever commissions it: the broker or the partner who’ll be selling.
We give you the timescale in writing before we start, and going live depends on the insurer’s sign-off. The integration that was working in testing within an afternoon built on what we’d done for another insurer on the same website, so it’s not a timescale we can promise.
Not for our two pet insurance integrations. The policy is issued using the customer’s IBAN and the premium is collected by direct debit. With another insurer, it depends on what its API allows.
No. It’s delivered as a WordPress plugin, but built bespoke for each website. What we bring from previous projects is the method: test cases run through the API, the trace of a purchase and private testing on the real website.

Tell us what you want to connect

We’re Wiidoo Media, a WordPress agency based in Marbella since 2018. Kiko Seijo leads the technical side of these integrations. If you’re an insurer, write to us about the partners who want to sell through your API. If you’re a broker or agency, tell us which insurers you work with and we’ll look into whether it can be done.
